Did the New York Post call President Obama a porch monkey?

If you haven’t seen the cartoon published by the New York Post, well, take a look (also see video below).

There’s a lot of crap that passes for news in America today, as well as a lot of important news that passes the desks of editors without ever making it to the news page or Web site.

For example, when the Federal Reserve squirrels away more than $2 TRILLION worth of U.S. taxpayer securities and thumbs its nose at the only media with the testicles to go after them in court, and editors across the country (like the guy running the New York Post) fail to make a big deal out of a big deal, Americans ought to be very concerned.

Did you hear or read about that major news story? I’m sure you heard there’s been some sort of economic crisis, but maybe you didn’t know the Federal Reserve was being hunted down by at least one probing media organization to disclose what it was doing with YOUR money!

In December, while you and I were all wondering if Barack Obama would make it alive to inauguration day, The Fed told Bloomsberg to take a long walk off a short pier. And nobody breathed a word — not mainstream media, Congress, nor any of its three members heading for the White House (Obama, Biden and Clinton).

Forget the phantom terrorist that exists in the minds of Hollywood screenwriters, the Pentagon and friends of the Bush family. Think about why the New York Post (and most other media) would see fit to ignore the fact that Bloomsberg Media spent the better part of 2008 fighting a court battle trying to get the Fed to release documents revealing the whereabouts of more taxpayer wealth than both current federal bailouts combined, and then toss offensive garbage, like this cartoon by Sean Delonas, onto its pages — a cartoon that any editor would have known would raise the roof across America!

Who is this guy running the New York Post? Well, I found him working as a fry cook at a fast food restaurant before he got his gig as the top dog at an avant-garde mag.

Check out his quote defending the cartoon and then check him out in the video. You won’t believe it.

According to The Associated Press:

Col Allan, editor-in-chief of the Post, defended the work.

“The cartoon is a clear parody of a current news event, to wit the shooting of a violent chimpanzee in Connecticut ,” Allan said in a statement. “It broadly mocks Washington ’s efforts to revive the economy.

WARNING! The video is highly offensive and profane. By the way, the video is a clear parody of Col Allan, who happens to be the focus of a current news event.
