Bush Strategy Towards Iran: Regime Change
Iran is no Iraq. It is larger. It is more modern. It is smarter. It has experienced aggression from U.S. covert ops and military assaults, as well as government intervention for more than 50 years.
Iran has studied U.S. involvement in Iraq. Despite the failure of most Americans to recall the Iraq-Iran war in which the U.S. assisted Saddam Hussein in instigating an eight-year conflict with Iran that took the lives of over one million Muslims, Iran is still reeling from the effects of that war, which ended in 1988 … a not-so-distant past.
Iran is well aware that the U.S. conducted a covert ops in order to produce a regime change of its government in 1953. Iran is also aware that the U.S. initiated an invasion of Iran through the auspices of Iraq in 1980 in what amounted to WWIII.
Iran was been the target of U.S. aggression long before the American public ever began paying attention. But due to U.S. propaganda, the American public has been duped into believing that Iran is a threat. The facts reveal the reverse is true.
It is the U.S. that has attacked Iran on a number of occasions. It is the U.S. that pursues control over Iranian oil. It is the U.S. that proclaims Iran’s nuclear energy program a danger. It is the U.S. that has threatened China’s oil flow from Iran unless it capitulates to U.S. demands to refer Iran to the UN Security Council. It is the U.S. that twists arms of leaders around the globe in order to galvanize support for creating a UN Resolution against Iran. It is the U.S. that has made plans to act upon such a resolution if it can get the UN Security Council to authorize such a document.
It is the U.S. that has plans of attacking Iran.
With more than 100,000 U.S. troops being freed up in Iraq, as a new Iraqi government takes over, Iran has quite a lot to worry about. The U.S. is no longer an ocean away. It is right next door.
Under the guise of protecting the newly-formed Iraqi government, and protecting the independence of the Iraqi people, the U.S. could easily convince a naive American public that attacking Iran is the right thing to do.
Those who have the WHOLE truth will not be swayed by such rhetoric and propaganda. It is time for the entire nation and the world to know The WHOLE truth about the U.S. War on Terror.
