Hillary for president?
There is nobody more impressed with Hillary Clinton than TIME Magazine — which has, at the date of its most recently released issue, placed her face on 10 of its covers.
This week, TIME Magazine yet again focuses the public’s attention on the former First Lady who today prefers the moniker, “Senator from New York.”
Q: Is Hillary running for the presidency?
A: Who cares?
When Hillary was in the White House, she and her husband continued the same carnage in Iraq that was initiated by George H. Bush in 1991. Hillary spoke several times on the subject of America’s involvement in Iraq and her support for her husband’s “policy of containment,” which included the bombing of Baghdad and other cities in Iraq for 6 of the 8 years the Clintons were in the White House. She spoke out well before the attacks of 9/11 … and even afterward.
America’s aggressive policies in the Middle East and determination to inflict the will of the U.S. government upon Muslims in their own lands continued unabated throughout the Clinton regime. Why would it matter if Hillary sat in the Oval Office or a Republican ascended to the lofty perch?
Either way, the U.S. policy in the Middle East will continue to sacrifice the lives of brave American troops as well as those innocent civilians in Iraq (and possibly Iran) while the American public continues to drink the cup of fear being poured out of the propaganda machine we call the mainstream media.
The hope for America lies in the courage of those leaders who will run on a single platform of bringing home the troops immediately. Such honor may lay waste to Leiberman-like liars who speak out of both sides of their mouths.
Perhaps more of the WHOLE TRUTH may be known by the time 2008 comes around. But it will take a concerted effort of the American public to bypass the media gatekeepers and through word-of-mouth circulate the facts contained in my new book.
