The drumbeat of pending war with Iran

For American citizens who are lost in the abyss of daily routines and busy schedules, it may come as a surprise to know that the U.S. is threatening Iran with war by deliberately conducting military exercises off the coast of Iran in the midst of a volatile debate in which the U.S. is accusing Iran of pursuing nuclear weapons while Iran maintains it is pursuing nuclear power for energy production.

Without getting caught up in the debate, one might ask a question regarding why the U.S. is the only nation in the world concerned (to the degree of going to war) over Iran’s involvement in creating nuclear energy? It was the U.S. that led the U.N. resolutions toward Iran, which are being opposed by both Russia and China. It was the U.S. that promoted the notion that Iran is to be feared the world over.

Another question might be regarding why the U.S. has decided to conduct military exercises off the coast of Iran when congress and the American people have not weighed in on any question of going to war with Iran. For the uninitiated, a military exercise conducted off the coast of a nation is tantamount to a declaration of war. Consider how we would react if N. Korea, Russia or even China did the same thing somewhere in the Carribean, or in the waters between Hawaii and the U.S. mainland?

Iran has responded by test-firing long-range missiles, which the U.S. media then rushed to put in its pages as though such a thing were to be considered a threat. How often do we hear of the continual improvements to our own weapons arsenal and its testing? Would the testing of American weapons be considered a threat?

Additionally, despite the fact that this confrontation between the U.S. and Iran has nothing to do with Israel, the media has tossed in the notion that these missiles have the potential of reaching Israel. That tidbit of information is called propaganda. It’s sole intent by inclusion in the story, is to manipulate the mind of the reader to think that U.S. presence in the Perisan Gulf is in defense of Israel and Iran is the aggressor and major threat in the region.

The U.S. presence in the Persian Gulf gives our ships the ability to hit targets in any country in the entire Mideast and much of Africa. But the story doesn’t mention that capability. Consider the notion that the reporter believes mentioning Israel is important because Iran has made statements regarding it’s opposition to the state of Israel. Shouldn’t the U.S. then be regarded in like fashion as enemies of Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria, given our open declarations of hostility against these nations?

If the reporter regarded the U.S. attitude toward various nations in the Mideast as he does Iran’s attitude toward Israel, he would have included in the story the capability of the U.S. to hit all of the aforementioned nations as well. But such was not the case. No mention of U.S. capability to hitting all of its enemies in the region was mentioned. In fact, had not Iran test-fired its missiles in response to U.S. military exercises, would we even know about these exercises by our own nation?

The American people should be aware of the U.S. government’s historical aggression toward Iran. We should be not be easily fooled by media propaganda promoting a U.S. version that hypes the notion that every target of our government is a threat to the world and we are merely defending the world against such aggression.

I am appalled by the leadership, not just in the White House, but in congress, in the governorships, and in the state legislatures. There is no excuse for any leader who has not sought out the WHOLE TRUTH about the U.S. War on Terror and used his power and influence to spread it throughout the land.

The life of the next soldier, sailor, airman or Marine who faces death depends upon the urgency in which this message takes hold across the country and forces reluctant leaders to immediately withdraw every single one of our troops from the Middle East and allow Muslims to determine the fate of their own nations.

There is no higher priority.

Please read this letter from a military member whose brother, Pat Tillman (former NFL standout) was killed in Iraq. The notion that supporting the troops means blindly following the lies and propaganda of our leaders to the point where our troops are left at their mercy is a wrongheaded understanding of what it means to support the troops. For all those who truly love this nation and care enough about those who willingly risk their lives to defend it, please read this letter by Kevin Tillman. It is the very least we can do for those in harm’s way.

Then click on the book cover above and begin a journey down the road of truth that will awaken you to the lies we’ve been living under for more than 50 years.
